Villa Ante is a Secessionist villa built in 1920s, covering more than 4,000 m². It is located in Sinj, only 100 meters from the main square. It was restored in 2007, following the conservation standards and it kept the original look, including the roof and the facade. Villa Ante is a protected cultural monument since 1997, with the status of a cultural good. Since the villa is a also a memorial to the leader of the “Croatian Spring” movement, the bust of this famous Croatian politician stands at the very entrance of the villa.
The interior of the villa is appointed with geometric patterns and motives from the plant world discovered during the restoration, along with high-quality Baroque style furniture and beautiful textiles. The house displays numerous works of art by the Croatian most renowned sculptors and painters, adding a special value to the villa.
The villa consists of a basement and a ground floor, with the surface of 175 m² each. There are 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and dressing-room. The villa is equipped with air-conditioning, a SAT TV in the living room and bedrooms, a home cinema, coffee machines and other modern amenities. There is a fully equipped kitchen, while in the basement there is a range of facilities such as gym, massage room, sauna, billiard room and wine cellar. There is also a summerhouse that was originally used for storing garden tools and later has been transformed into a guest house with a swimming pool and other modern-day comforts.
The surrounding of the villa is very lovely as well, offering a relaxing atmosphere with the fast-flowing rivers which are perfect for kayaking, rafting and canoeing; the mountains, suitable for hiking, cycling, rock-climbing and walking and the lakes great for rowing whereas the fields and woods are ideal for horse-riding.
